Petroplan are on the look out for a Senior Civil Engineer for a residential contract assignment with a Leading Oil Company based in UAE.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Providing technical interface expertise on civil engineering from the operability and maintainability point of view.
* Providing engineering support from the operability and maintainability point of view for all related projects/operation interface issues.
* Ensuring design optimization and application of relevant operability and maintainability requirements through applying international codes and standards in various company's projects and studies.
* Participating in feasibility/conceptual studies and in-house engineering for small and medium size civil projects.
* Reviewing related projects/operation interface issues in the design works and studies performed by the Engineering Consultants; ensuring they are in accordance with technical and standards requirements, and that they meet operation needs.
* Reviewing/approving drawings, specifications and technical documents for all civil design related works.
* Participating in technical evaluation of tenders and issuance of recommendations.
* Monitoring performance of Contractors/Consultants and providing design inputs and follow up during the execution of the basic and detailed engineering.
* Participating in the pre-qualification of engineering Consultants/Vendors and reviewing the bidders list.
* Providing input/update to Engineering Procedures, Company Standards, Technical Specifications, Design Philosophies and Engineering Guidelines.
* Developing business cases, execution strategies and statement of requirements.
* Participating in site surveys of facilities and establishing and identifying the actual requirements.
* Providing technical assistance and liaising with other Discipline Engineers on all aspects of technical and general requirements.
* Providing training particularly to UAE nationals to meet their integration targets related to project/operation interfaces.
* Providing technical studies and proposing solutions related to projects/operation interfaces civil works.

The ideal candidate will have:

* BSc Degree in Civil Engineer from a reputed University.
* 10-12 Years experience in the oil & gas industry of which at least 5 years at a Senior level.
* Conversant with relevant Codes & Standards related to Civil Engineering and Oil & Gas Industry.
* Detailed experience of civil design related to civil aspects is mandatory.
* Fluency in the English language.
* Proficiency in Structural Engineering software such as STAADPRO, STAAD, Foundations 3D, Mat 3D, Archon Software Modules, StrucTools and other software in Windows environment.
