Sessional Tutors/Trainers (OpenDay/SC) Oxfordshire, England

Salary: GBP20 - GBP21 per hour + Including Statutory Holiday Pay

Protocol is pleased to be working alongside Prisons in the Oxford/Buckinghamshire area to recruit for experienced Tutors to deliver various subjects on a sessional/adhoc basis. These subjects include:
• Functional Skills English
• Functional Skills Maths
• ICT

We are also looking for tutors who can deliver Vocational courses including:
• Plumbing
• Bricklaying
• Carpentry
• Plastering
• Dry Walling
• Painting & Decorating
(This list is not exhaustive)

To be considered for any sessional hours you must be available to attend an Open Day at a prison in the Buckinghamshire area on Thursday 10th November 2016 from 8.45am till approx. 2.30pm.

You will need to bring your own lunch and you will also need to bring copies of the relevant subject and teaching certificates (and original) along with a copy of your photo driving licence and passport/ birth certificate (and originals).

If successful for any sessional work, you will need to go through Prison Clearance, this procedure takes approximately 2 – 4 weeks. You will also be required to have a fully enhanced DBS.

To be suitable for any sessional work you will meet the following criteria:
• A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in subject specialism.
• A recognised teaching qualification. (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, CTLLS, PTLLS, QTS)
• Previous experience teaching at least 1 of the above in a classroom setting.
• Competent IT skills for maintaining and updating student portfolios.
• Own transport – due to the locations of the prisons.
