Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician (128661MFO) Leicester, England

We are pleased to be working with our Client who is the UK’s leading supplier of services to the Nuclear industry in the UK and Overseas.

They currently have a new position for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician to work at their Whetstone facility in Leicester.

This position is on a Contract basis starting: 29th May 2017 until 31st May 2019.

Hours will be full time and hourly rate is to be confirmed.

Role profile
Reporting to the Site Supervisor (Foreman) your duties will be to undertake Electrical or Instrumentation installation/maintenance for the project.


This role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Job Description
Reporting to the Site Supervisor or Engineer for all matters relating to Quality and Safety.
Install and maintain Low Voltage Plant and or Equipment.
Interpret and implement the current requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Regulations (BS7671).
Work in compliance with the requirements of the Clients Health and Safety procedures.
Be aware and comply with strict Health and Safety Regulations on site ensuring work colleagues and site personnel are equally aware.
Undertake isolation of electrical systems/equipment in particular Live Working Restrictions.
report all nomalies, safety hazards, plant damage and specific problems through the Project Supervisor/Engineer before taking action.
Refrain from interference with any safety equipment provided in the interests of H&S 9PPE, Fire extinguishers and son on).
Build only to the print in compliance with the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Adopt at all times the START principle, (Stop, Think, Act, review and Tell) whilst engaged on all types of works on site.
Attend weekly Toolbox talks relating to matters of safety and company policy.
Participate in the production and review of Point of Work Assessments and Pre and Post Job briefs and Post Job de Briefs.
