The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast paced environment and will have the following responsibilities and qualifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commission electrical and mechanical distribution equipment in a variety of environments, including:
o Mission critical facilities (e.g. data centers)
o Central boiler and chiller plants
o Small power generation and cogeneration stations (up to 100 MW)

• Identify and assemble required documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors
• Develop building-specific commissioning plans
• Schedule and lead commissioning meetings including proper documentation
• Develop and/or review factory witness test procedures for major equipment
• Attend factory witness tests and provide detailed report identifying deficiencies
• Submit progress reports and commissioning meeting notes to the project and facility manager
• Perform physical testing of electrical/mechanical equipment and record using test instrumentation
• Respond to customer inquiries in a manner that exceeds the customer’s expectations


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5-10 years of experience in preferably electrical/mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field; OR
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as service technician, controls installer, commissioning agent, or construction manager with experience with building controls, test and balance, design, construction and/or maintenance of building systems

• Knowledgeable with common electrical, mechanical, and controls-related building equipment, including:
• Uninterruptible power supplies
• Low and medium-voltage electrical switchgear
• Automatic transfer switches
• Static transfer switches
• Power distribution units
• Backup generators
• Gas turbines
• Reciprocating engines
• Steam turbines
• Selective catalytic reduction systems
• Chillers (electric, absorption, and steam-driven mechanical)
• Boilers (steam and hot water)
• Heat recovery steam generators
• Pumps
• Air handling units
• Computer room air conditioning units
• Computer room air handlers
• Cooling towers
• Building management systems
