Consultant - Power Technology & Energy Management

Consultant - Power Technology & Energy Management (BBBH119737) Manitoba, Canada

The core responsibilities of a Consultant is to create the assigned strategic development plan artifacts, process change documentation and support the development of functional design specifications for smart grid technology deployment.

Responsibilities:

 Participate in a portfolio of multi-discipline project teams in the execution of process design and implementation activities to achieve client objectives
 Providing consultation to electricity utility management
 Support onsite workshops with utility management, discussing industry trends, current business performance, strategic objectives and potential new business models
 Document assigned areas of strategic roadmap scenarios, detail transformation & business case requirements/reports under the supervision of team leaders
 Contribute to change activities needed to support process implementation activities
 Document business process design artifacts
 Provide support in research, financial analysis and design activities
 Develop communications for both client and internal management
 Perform various analyses to support client executive decision-making
 Perform pre-sales support activities as needed

Qualifications:

 Advanced degree in Business Administration or Electrical Engineering preferred
 Minimum of (5) five years of experience delivering successful consulting services
 Knowledge of the Electricity Utility Sector, Smart Grid and Smart Grid technologies is an asset
 Priority may be given to candidates with asset management experience, training and/or certification
 Experience in business transformation program delivery is preferred
 Education and experience that has developed complex problem solving abilities
 Experience in business process (re)-engineering is preferred
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
 Additional Languages of French/ German/ Spanish would be considered an asset
 Available for frequent domestic and some international travel
