The IoT Solutions Architect will join a small but hugely influential team within the Honeywell Corporate. We are looking for a visionary technology leader in Hardware architecture within connected Systems, to drive a common approach to Hardware design for compute-intensive Internet of Things and Industrial Internet of Things (IoT/IIoT) applications. This critical position reports to the Advanced Technology Tracking and Deployment Leader. You will bring demonstrable experience in Hardware system development. You will drive the creation of the next generation IoT/IIoT platforms, including Gateway and large scale compute platforms, designed to support IoT application Software requirements in areas such as industrial automation, building control, advanced analytics and data processing.

Through adaptive, intelligent and connected products you will usher a new revolution in the industrial world.

You will be determined and assertive in both listening to specific business group needs as well as communicating a global approach to Hardware architecture across multiple Engineering groups in a global setting.

You will bring demonstrable experience in Hardware system development to drive the creation of the next generation IoT/IIoT platforms, including Gateway and large scale compute platforms designed to support IoT application Software requirements in areas such as industrial automation, building control, advanced analytics and data processing.

* Architect complex Hardware/Firmware systems
* Create contemporary design concepts
* Create technology roadmaps
* Provide strong technical leadership
* Act as SME on latest technology in MCU/ASIC



•Extensive experience in Hardware Design and Architecture

•Strong experience with designing embedded systems, such as designing for extended-life

•Background in platform and design-for-reuse principles

•Strong background in utilizing cutting edge Hardware and system ECAD tools for requirements management, configuration management, schematics capture, PCB layout, simulation/modelling, BOM & component management, power, thermal & mechanical analysis, verification…

•Experience working with a wide variety of connectivity solutions with particular emphasis on wireless technologies (sub-GHZ, Wifi, BLE, etc.)

•Experience in working with multiple technology platforms (x86, ARM…)

•Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) Edge Hardware platforms (Edge/Fog computing, design for cloud connectivity)

•Knowledge of physical and logical security methods implemented in Hardware (secure storage, anti-tamper, Hardware accelerated cryptography…)

•Familiarity with Open Hardware standards

•Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence at all levels in the organization

•Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies; evaluate technical alternatives based on experience while working with specialists to develop the most effective solution

•Strong technical leadership to teams for Hardware and Firmware capabilities through matrix relationships
