Turret Punch Operator
Working Hours: 7am - 3.20pm - Overtime often required, rated at 1.5 times of basic rate
Basic Hourly Rate: £9.50 - £12.00 dependent on previous experience and ability to set up and operate Turret Punch
About the role:
Produce parts and tools from metal, using LVD Turret Punches, look at blueprints or plans for the finished product, make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. Look at the finished product to ensure it is defect free and ready for the next step in production. Changing dies and punches to requirements.
About you:
Good Math Skills, in order to understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
Problem solving skills, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
Attention to details, press brakes are precision equipment. Keen attention to detail is required.
Mechanical and technical Skills, operators who understand CAD/CAM technology.
Stamina, press break operators often work long hours doing repetitive movements
Temp to perm contract - After 3 month probationary period candidates can be taken on permanently by the client. Benefits then include: £25 weekly attendance bonus as well as £200-£300 quarterly performance bonus.
