T&D Sales Manager

Sales manager position for Transmission and Distribution products within the UK and Ireland.

Knowledge of the UK T+D Market is essential for this role. (Substations, Transformers, Circuit Breakers). Role can be home based or from one of the local offices.

Right to work and live in the UK essential.

Responsible for making the contact for the sale of all products and services in the country of responsibility. To represent the company in the best light, make new introductions and manage the relationship on a local level understanding the culture and language. To help grow company market share in the respective country and increase brand awareness in the market.

Accountability/Responsibility:

1. Order Intake – make introductions and find potential orders using local knowledge and existing customer relationships. Ensuring the plant’s contractual terms and conditions, prices, etc are explained to the customer. Arrange meetings and coordinate with the plant for FAT’s.
2. Sales Cost Budget – ensuring budget set for travel, accommodation, sales events, etc. is adhered to.
3. Planning and executing Key Account Management – ensuring the plant meets the commitments it has made to customer, chasing design teams and tendering for outstanding quotations and tenders and ensuring on time payment as per the contract by customer. Accompany customers on site visits.
4. Timely Reporting – all activities against budget.
5 Market Information – assessing new projects, customer developments and strategic direction, size and competitors, normal sales prices

Key experience needed:
Educational qualifications (Threshold educational background required to execute the role)
Qualification in Sales; Marketing or Engineering.
Relevant experience (Type/ Nature and years of relevant experience required to execute the role)
5 years in electrical industry
Good communicator
