Role Purpose:

If you are you experienced in the software development lifecycle and enjoy entertainment and gaming and want to be involved with a major gaming console/platform’s releases and technology then this may be the role for you. You’ll be working on this company’s global console brand.

A successful candidate must bring strong experience in software and hardware test, strong technical skills, development/programming skills and proven test automation skills to the position. Suitable candidates should have knowledge of the games industry as well as a demonstrated set of excellent troubleshooting skills.

The role requires a self-starter, driven towards test automation, process improvement and development. You must be capable of making difficult decisions with limited information, be able to foster strong collaboration across a range of teams and partners and help identify new opportunities for improvement to workflow, process and efficiency.

Key knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• C# &/or C++ - but basic coding is fine, SQL, data management (worked like oracle, website, database, data analytics) admin, good understanding of the infrastructure.
• Experience of project management and leading a team.
• Good range of relatable hobbies such as online gaming tournaments, understanding of Xbox, PC builds, creating websites/managing data warehouses in spare time. Candidate needs to be enthusiastic to gaming industry, trying to get into gaming
• Need to understand the different Microsoft languages but doesn’t need to be an expert as the client do not want a pure coder.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
