Candidate Specification
Candidates should have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years experience working in a versioned Geodatabase environment.
•Proficient knowledge of and ability to utilize ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 or higher, ArcSDE 10.0 or higher, and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher.
•Experience with Oracle, C#, Python, .Net, and Java Script is a plus.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
•The ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills.

Job Description
ArcSDE Database Administrator will perform technical and administrative functions in an ESRI-based, Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) infrastructure and will be responsible for developing and administering a Microsoft SQL Server-based or Oracle-based SDE environment with capabilities for multi-user editing, versioning, and data replication/synchronization. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Set-up, management, and monitoring of ESRI Geodatabase replication between offices.
•Develop and manage workflows within SDE and File Geodatabases.
•Perform technical and administrative work developing and maintaining multiple data models and the software within a Microsoft SQL Server-based or Oracle-based Enterprise GIS environment (data will be hosted in a web-based environment both internally and externally).
•Provide GIS training, work with staff to resolve problems, and provide guidance to GIS Leads and to the Information Technology Department.
•Provide technical support for third party application software and work with vendors to resolve program problems.
•Serve as system administrator for the internal web-based mapping application and develop applications for it as needed.
•Identify and recommend strategies using GIS systems that could lead to increased efficiency and cost effectiveness.
•Establish protocols for system development and implementation, access and data storage, meet with users to get feedback on system performance, and make adjustments to the software to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.
•Support and provide consultation for client enterprise GIS systems including data loading.
