The Company

This large corporation operates out of mainly industrial and blue collar sector and provides top quality service for Logistics, On-Board Retail and In-Flight Catering. Our client is currently recruiting an experienced ER Business Partner to join their HR Shared Service Centre.

What the role involves

Reporting into the Employee Relations General Manager you will be predominantly based at our head office in Manchester however your role is required to travel to our other sites around the UK, specifically London. Working within the Employee Relations Team, you are responsible for managing and coordinating resources and activities to ensure compliance to policies and procedures are being adhered to ensuring the mitigation of risk. You will be focused on the delivery of key HR objectives to facilitate the achievement of the company strategy constantly seeking to improve performance.

Basic Duties

•Ensure that you support and monitor the implementation and reviewing of agreed HR products where applicable
•Manage performance to ensure all costs are achieved and seek further improvements
•Trade Unions - overseeing local agreements and advising regarding issues arising
•Performance Management System – reviewing implementation and supporting team in coaching and advising line managers, ensuring reviews take place
•Building customer relationships - at all levels to meet business needs, including key contacts, to ensure issues and concerns are dealt with effectively
•Ensure that you establish, promote and maintain excellent communication links with all internal departments and key contacts

Skills needed

•CIPD qualified with a sound knowledge of ER issues and employment legislation
•Experience of working in a large and complex environment
•Strong communication skills in all disciplines including written, oral, email and presentation
•Offers a considered approach to problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and recommend solutions
•Excellent IT Skills
•Ability to work off own initiative but also part of a team
