Salary: GBP47121 - GBP47121 per annum
Protocol are working with one of the largest and most successful FE colleges in South Wales. They wish to appoint a Head of School - Construction to join their team.

The School of Construction offers a diverse curriculum across a wide range of levels, from entry level to level 5. Disciplines include Brickwork, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Renewable Energy & Multi-skills provision. This area has around 300 full-time construction students. In addition, the department services a range of apprenticeship programmes and has a thriving commercial provision, serving the needs of local employers across a range of disciplines, including specialist BPEC ACS Gas courses and courses in renewable energy. The department has a team of approximately 30 staff who deliver across the school.

The Head of School Construction will lead this important area and provide direct line management to the construction team. The role will focus on the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment and the drive towards improving success rates. As one of the key managers, you will provide excellent leadership to staff, setting high expectations and standards of behaviour, leading by example as an outstanding role model. You will be dynamic and energetic, with a proven track record in effective team management and an ability to inspire and motivate. You will be able to demonstrate effective and influential people management skills, together with excellent planning and organisation skills, and a good understanding of quality assurance and improvement. You will be an innovative, creative thinker with a background in Construction or a related subject area.
