Operations/Business Director

Operations/Business Director (BW BusDir) Cumbria, England

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP40000 per annum
Protocol are working with a specialist education provider in Cumbria to recruit a Business Director to be responsible for Finance, HR, IT, Premises, Admin and support staff.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide financial and business management oversight for the organisations. You will be responsible on a day to day basis for the following:

• Responsible for all aspects of the management of the organisation's finance in accordance with the Academies Financial Handbook and Regulations
• Reporting directly to the Principal, the Business Director is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the organisation's finance, administrative and support functions run efficiently and effectively.
• Responsible for partnerships with the organisation's Employer Partners
• Responsible for Financial reporting to the Principal, Governors, EfA, auditors and the DfE
• Is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of the organisation.
• Is responsible for providing professional leadership and management of organisation's support staff, overseeing their career development, performance management and training requirements.
• Responsible for whole school administration including information management systems.
• Responsible for IT, Facilities Maintenance and Management, Catering whether through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or internally.
• Promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administration function of the organisation and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the aims of the organisation.
• Supports the organisation positively in terms of public relations with parents, visitors, contractors, external agencies and other stakeholders and be involved with the organisation's links with the local community.
• Holds a key post of responsibility within the organisation.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience as a member of a middle or senior management team. They will need to be comfortable managing multiple departments and projects and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
