Salary: GBP40695 - GBP40695 per annum
Protocol are working with an Outstanding College in Yorkshire for a new Head of Business Development. This is a great role for an excellent business leader ideally with a good understanding of FE, HE, apprenticeships and Work Base Learning (WBL) strategies.

You will be commercially focused, be able to evidence proven business development, develop existing long term relationships and generate income. The role will involve developing strategy and working closely with the Director of Business Development.

A key responsibility of the role will be to evolve and train the existing team to be more commercially focused, to develop business and exceed their targets.

The good news is, you do not need to be an expert in the apprenticeships levy, bid writing or funding etc. as you will work collaborate with the Head of Funding and Partnerships as required.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

Leading, managing, and delivering the College’s Apprenticeship Training and WBL programmes.
Be proactive and focussed in working with Employers, College departments and other stakeholders
Ensuring continuous and target driven quality improvement of Apprentice and Employer AIG, retention, and achievement
To raise the profile and image of the College Apprenticeship training
Deliver a co-ordinated and cohesive marketing plan
Research local labour requirements to support the planning requirements of the SMT
Support (and/or lead) in the negotiation of contracts for Apprenticeship programmes, Managing Agent sub-contracts, Employment Service, New Deal programmes and other externally funded projects and contracts as directed
To show continuous improvement for profiled framework achievement/success rates
To ensure all data and services are maintained by the College in line with LSC, ALI and OFSTED audits and inspections
To develop an Apprenticeship (WBL) Business plan, taking direct responsibility for the financial viability of contracted provision
