Salary: GBP32475 - GBP32475 per annum
Protocol are working with an aspiring FE college in Cheshire to recruit to the position of Programme Leader for the curriculum areas of Health & Social Care, Child Care and Public Services. This post will be on a 18 month fixed term contract basis covering maternity leave.

The role of Programme Leader is to assist the Head of Faculty with the operational day to day running of the area. The post holder will be expected to teach an appropriate caseload within the designated curriculum area. The post will involve some line management for example, with completion of appraisals.

The key accountabilities for the role are as follow:

•To be responsible for the operational day to day running of the area.
•To work with MIS and curriculum teams to constantly monitor, amend and maintain correct information on Pro-solution and Pro-monitor.
•Responsible for ensuring that all student registrations and claims are processed and all relating exam paper work is signed and forwarded to relevant moderators/awarding bodies, within set deadlines.
•To ensure that team meetings, standardisation and other College processes are carried out to prescribed standards and deadlines, including carrying out learning walk caseload and capturing/ actioning regular learner voice feedback.
•To undertake line management duties as required, for example completion of appraisals with staff and student disciplinaries.
•To work with the Head of Faculty to develop and implement strategies to increase student success rates to outstanding and ensure that progression and destinations are excellent. To maximise the external work experience opportunities to enhance learner experience and preparation for future careers.
•To work with the Head of Faculty /SMT and the Marketing department to ensure that recruitment meets or exceeds the departmental targets for the various funding streams. To inform and support curriculum planning activities.
•To coordinate the planning and timetabling for the specified curriculum area
•To track pastoral and academic progress by monitoring student attendance, achievement and tutorials and report to the Head of Faculty on a weekly basis.
•To assist the Head of Faculty in writing the SAR for the designated curriculum area.
•To assist the curriculum team in improving materials and resources, including the promotion and implementation of E-learning strategies.
•To undertake all aspects of the post in accordance with the College’s Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies and schemes.
•To comply with the College’s Data Protection Policy in relation to the collection, use, storage and disposal of personal and/or sensitive data.
•To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be expected commensurate with the band within, and where required, external to the College. To deputise for Head of Faculty, as appropriate.
