Care Assistant

Location:  Bideford, England
Salary:  GBP8.32 - GBP8.32 per hour


We are now recruiting Care Assistants to join the friendly team at Kenwith Castle - our beautiful country house care home near Bideford.

  • Day shifts 7.00am to 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 9.00pm

You will be part of our care team who provide individual care to the elderly residents who live at Kenwith Castle. Duties for the Care Assistant will include engaging with residents, washing, dressing, toileting and bathing, carrying out personal appearance tasks (attention to nails, hair, clothes, teeth, hearing aids and spectacles), as well as being aware of each individual resident’s history, and their likes and dislikes.

Please note the role of Care Assistant includes covering early and late shifts, alternate weekends, and some bank holidays (plus pay enhancements).

We are looking for those with experience in the care sector and those with none. The main qualities you will bring to the role of Care Assistant are a determination to provide excellent care for elderly vulnerable people and a kind attitude. You will also have good communication skills, both verbal and written, be good at working as part of a team, and have a strong work ethic.
