Summary
Digital Transformation for Corporates (DTC) Data Analyst will be part of Digital intelligence business team and design team. Person would be entrusted with interrogating various warehouses and databases. Understanding what the Business / SME’s require and having the ability to analyse, reconcile and connect the data across a multitude of data points. Provide solutions/design ideas, turn design ideas into working proof of concepts, prove value of idea and solutions, pass working software to the Data and/or Analytics factories to productionise the solution and help role it out as an approved reusable pattern.
Responsibilities
•Understanding business requirements and getting the best out of the various Databases and Warehouse. Have a strong analytical ability to ensure validity, accuracy and completeness of data
•Turn design ideas into working solutions in quick time. Participate in Rapid Application Development and Agile processes to deliver new services and components.
•Guide/ help data/analytics factories to industrialize the technical solutions.
•Keep eye on new tools/technologies in evolving big data landscape. Evaluate/harness new tools/technologies to make things simpler, faster, better. Also leveraging tried and trusted warehousing knowledge
•Define and Implement best practices for Big Data & warehouse development/design.
Skills and Experience
•Experience in using cognos to extract and analyse data using Query & Report Studio
•Experience of translating user requirements into formal report development specifications
•Banking experience at one of the large banks is essential.
•Over 10 years of career reflecting experience and high performance in System Analysis, Design, Development, Relational Database and Data Warehousing Systems
•Experienced in coding using SQL, SQL*plus, PL/SQL and packages, for Terrradata & Oracle
•Excellent knowledge of different RDBMS like Oracle and Teradata.
•Experience of large, complex data intensive environments in multi-systems infrastructure
•Strong SQL querying skills and comfortable working with large data sets - large scale data analysis experience and/or a background in database / business intelligence development advantageous
•Understands data structure and databases
•Strong understanding of the principles of Data Warehouse using Fact Tables, Dimension Tables
