IFRS 9 ETL Analyst

Summary

The role holder will be key member of the delivery team of the IFRS 9 Engine ETL layer, from detailed design up to implementation in a live environment. This will include analysis, design and build of the ETL working with other teams such as IT, calculation engine work streams, the wider IFRS9 project and the business. The role holder will be reporting to the IFRS9 ETL Project Manager.

Responsibilities

•Need to build end to end understanding of IFRS 9 process, from data sourcing to impact on the financial numbers
•Developing an excellent understanding of data sources.
•solution design and build of ETL including: linking multiple data sources, validation of data and transforming data to meet requirements of the calculators and ledger
•Ability to extract requirements from the business and exiting documents.
•Ability to communicate to the business how ETL meets the requirements and how to update the ETL as requirements change.
•Learning how to leverage big data technology and tools.
•Effective management of time to work across multiple disciplines, time zones, etc
•Sensitivity to Cultural diversity and ability to dynamically adapt interpersonal style to build effective relationships
•Driving towards results and managing multiple priorities

Skills and Experience

•Platform and/or SAS Visual Analytics
•Reporting solutions
•Ability to manage sub work streams to support project manager
•Credit risk, IFRS 9 or stress testing
•Big data experience
•Consultancy background
•Experience of working within a change environment
•Proven experience in software delivery within large programmes
•Ability to deliver software in an Agile iterative way within a controlled project framework.
•Demonstrated flexibility across multiple domains and functional areas
