Senior IT Project Manager/Programme Manager – Walsall

Senior IT Project Manager/Programme Manager required for a leading organisation based in Walsall, where you will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering a variety of projects/programmes. You will be responsible for providing strong leadership and governance ensuring projects are correctly scoped with clearly defined outcomes and sponsorship.

This is a great opportunity for a driven Senior PM/Programme Manager with a solid ‘hands-on’ delivery background, with experience with proven experience managing 3rd parties / project teams / vendor and suppliers

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Providing strong leadership and governance ensuring projects are correctly scoped with clearly defined outcomes and sponsorship.
• Managing assigned projects/programmes packages of work from inception to transition and closure.
• Day-to-day management of the project / programme / portfolio on behalf of the business and sponsors as allocated to you.
• Ownership and Co-ordination of the projects and their interdependencies.
• Identification, analysis and management of risks, issues and dependencies – facilitating problem solving within project teams and escalating appropriately.

Key Skills of the role

• Strong client focus with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects/enterprise programme and/or of high visibility and impact piece of work.
• A solid ‘hands-on’ IT project / programme delivery background.
• Proven experience in managing 3rd parties / project teams / vendor and suppliers.
• Strong time management skills / self-managed / self-motivated.
• Experience of leading project teams from strategic inception through to project completion, and post-implementation change.

Salary

The salary for this position is between £55,000 – £60,000 per annum, plus company car/car allowance and benefits
