IT Project Manager – Digital Transformation – Birmingham City Centre

IT Project Manager required for a leading organisation in Birmingham City Centre, who are currently undertaking an exciting digital transformation, where you will be required to deliver end to end IT Projects. You will be responsible for working in conjunction with programme managers, in the overall delivery/implementation of the company-wide system changes.

The ideal candidate must have experience running challenging small/medium sized projects, preferably projects focused on system upgrades/implementations. This is an excellent opportunity to assist a talent programme manager in the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Ensuring project delivery methodologies are adopted and evolved in accordance with company standards, including stage gate approvals.
  • Creating and maintaining project plans.
  • Measuring and monitoring progress appropriately to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and that they meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks across allocated projects.
  • Managing relationships with contractors, suppliers and business stakeholders across allocated projects.
  • Ensuring and changes to requirements, project plans or changes to commitment are managed through standard change control processes and communicated to all affected stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all projects have a benefit realisation plan in place, deliver the business case agreed and this commitment is reviewed where applicable.

Key Skills of the role

  • A proven track record of delivering system focused projects (integration/upgrades) using a mixture of waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing challenging projects with a variety of internal/external stakeholders
  • Broad overall technical knowledge (computer principles, system integration principles, data communication)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate across teams.
  • Good team player with the ability to manage own workload.

Salary

The salary for this position is between £35,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience
