Bid Director – Software/System Integration/SaaS – Near London Euston, Central London
Bid Director required for a growing organisation based in Central London, close to the London Euston, where you will play a pivotal role in creating and winning strategies and bids, concentrating on business-critical growth opportunities. Working as the leader of a small team, you will be a ‘hands-on’ bid director, working closely with the team to ensure an effective bid process and result.
The ideal candidate will be a resilient bid management professional, confident in hitting the ground running and the ability to think creatively about the bid management process.
Key Responsibilities of the role
- Develop bid strategy, taking input from sales directors to understand the opportunity and collaborating with the senior internal stakeholders to shape the proposal, taking account of a range of parameters (commercial, technical, market conditions etc).
- Lead the creation of proposals that articulate clear, focused solutions and value propositions aligned with the bid strategy agreed.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the market, using that knowledge to inform and shape our bids.
- Shape commercial options and potential approaches for each opportunity, informed by knowledge of client budgets, competition positioning etc.
- Lead engagements with potential partners as part of bid development, seeking out and developing options, including commercial options.

- Experience of an agile, fast-paced and hard deadline environment where excellence is the norm.
- Comfortable working with complex systems and working in a regulated bid process.
- Resilient, with the experience of ‘managing/influencing’ cross-functional teams and delivering projects/proposals under commercial and time pressure.
- Creative mind-set – ability to think differently about the challenges faced in the bid management process.
- Engaging, with leadership experience in a technology business. Ability to get things done in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
