IT Project Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent

IT Project Assistant required for an exciting organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent town centre, where you will play a key part in supporting the project management team, ensuring that projects and programmes are delivered effectively. Working with a range of teams, on a variety of challenging projects, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organisation.

The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with excellent communication skills, who is keen to develop a career within IT and IT project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Within the role, you will play a key part in ensuring that project and programmes run smoothly.
• Provide support on project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques to programme/portfolio manages and their teams.
• Support project planning, budgeting, mobilisation and change management.
• Track project delivery, cost, benefits & KPI’s.
• Throughout the project lifecycle, ensure that risks, issues and dependencies are tracked effectively.

Key Skills of the role

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to liaise with a range of people from different levels of hierarchy.
• Proactive and flexible attitude, with an ability to work in a fast-moving and changeable environment.
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge, with experience of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc).
• Fast learner, with good prioritisation skills and ability to collaborative with a range of different teams.

Salary

The salary for this position is up to £26,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and career progression opportunities.
