IT Business Analyst – Oldbury, Birmingham
IT Business Analyst required for an international organisation, based in Oldbury, Birmingham, where you will play a key part in bridging the gap between the business environment of stakeholders and the technical IT environment to ensure that business requirements and processes are translated into formats suitable for all your stakeholders including solution architects and developers from which specifications, design and application configurations will be built.
The ideal candidate will be a driven Business Analyst, who is looking to further their career in a challenging but rewarding environment. Travel is expected within the role.
Key Responsibilities of the role
- Implementing advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analysing requirements
- Eliciting, translating, simplifying and prioritising requirements and creating conceptual prototypes and mock-ups
- Mastering strategic business process modelling, traceability and quality management techniques
- Applying best practices for effective communication and problem-solving
- Assisting with business case production, planning and monitoring
- Supporting all business activities within the end to end project delivery such as show and tells, workshops and User Acceptance Training (UAT)
Key Skills of the role
- Business Analyst experience from an IT project environment – essential
- A proven track record of delivering successful business analysis within parallel projects
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in requirement gathering processes and methodologies, including the project lifecycle
- Strong technical aptitude and computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite and MS Visio
- Able to demonstrate basic understanding of the deployed technologies across the enterprise and of multiple system platforms
- Demonstrable strong written, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and can articulate complex solutions
- Experience in supporting projects within a large-scale organisation
Salary
The salary for this position is up to £48,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including car allowance.
