IT Operations Manager - Technical - Slough
IT Operations Manager required for a leading organisation based near Slough, where you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a small team of support engineers, alongside the procurement and upkeep of a range of key internal systems. You will play a key part working with the Head of IT, as well as being ‘hands-on’ within the team.
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong IT operations manager, with understanding of VMware, servers, storage and networking.
Key Skills of the role
A key skill of the successful candidate will be the ability to learn and find out about technology and/or systems they may initially be unfamiliar with and the ability to devise their own plan of action
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
- VMware
- HP Switches
- Juniper Routers/Firewalls – soon to be replaced with Sophos XGs
- Micro Focus OES and eDirectory
- HP Printers
- A range of internal equipment including automated sales and label printers
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary
The salary for this position is between £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus benefits
