IT Infrastructure Engineer – Networks/Servers - Slough
IT Infrastructure Engineer required for a leading organisation based near Slough, where you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting internal servers, storage, networking and hardware. You will play a key part working with the Head of IT, providing day-to-day 3rd line support and technical guidance.
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong IT infrastructure professional, with understanding of VMware, servers, storage and networking.
Key Skills of the role
A key skill of the successful candidate will be the ability to learn and find out about technology and/or systems they may initially be unfamiliar with and the ability to devise their own plan of action
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
- VMware
- HPE Nimble Storage/iSCSI
- TCP/IP
- Ethernet Networks
- Micro Focus OES and eDirectory
- Any Linux experience would be ideal
- A range of internal equipment including automated sales and label printers
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary
The salary for this position is between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus benefits
