Software Developer – API/C# - Birmingham

Software Developer required for a global organisation based in Birmingham, where you will be responsible for developing APIs and web services are developed in C# in line with organisational standards. The overall objective is to design and deploy the API’s and Web Services to improve integration between core applications and business processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API and web service development, but it would be desirable to have experience of Microsoft Azure API Management and LogicApps.

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Key responsibility of the role will be to develop Azure APIs and web services to support processes automation and application integration.
• Develop standards for API and web service naming, levelling and deployment.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver fully or partially automated processes.
• Exposing APIs and web services to client and other third parties securely.
• Driving reuse of APIs and web services to reduce the cost of technology change.

Key Skills of the role

• Strong background in API and web service development.
• Experience of application integration and related development desirable.
• Understanding and experience of IT project delivery processes and best practise.
• Proven experience of delivering development solutions.
• Strong planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage several work streams.
• Desirable to have experience of Microsoft Azure API management and/or LogicApps.

Salary 

The salary for this position is up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
