Data Architect - Birmingham City Centre

Data Architect required for a leading organisation based in Birmingham City Centre, where you will be responsible for understanding business requirements and produce technical solution designs – creating logical and physical data models along with integration designs. You will work alongside other Data Architects who have already translated the business requirements to high-level data flow and entity impacts.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Leading and Managing data architecture development, maintenance and standards, including roadmap, data models, and data utilisation
  • Create and maintain Logical and Physical Data models
  • Cultivating a deep understanding of the data landscape and interdependencies, identifying data architecture risks and opportunities
  • Effectively translate technical and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work with third party suppliers and external providers to support and provide technical expertise
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Participate in the governance and assurance activities and contribute to the process

Key Skills of the role

  • Data Analysis - The investigation, evaluation and interpretation of the data in order to ensure its coherence, availability, accuracy and security according to the solution requirements
  • Data and Integration Architecture
  • Database Creation/Modification
  • Data Impact Analysis including Integration
  • Entity/Application/Process Mapping
  • Good working experience in Dynamic 365/FO 365/Office 365/ Data designs/Azure stack, Sql Server
  • Experience of working in an iterative development process such as Agile
  • Good knowledge of design patterns and how to apply them
  • Able to understand and resolve technical disputes across varying levels of complexity and risk
  • Experience of working in multiple projects and managing time
  • Able to work with external suppliers and liaise with their technical teams
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary

The salary for this position is between £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus benefits.
