*Purchasing Officer / Buyer– Defence Organisation – up to £22per hour PAYE – 6 month contract -Stevenage*
Advantage Resourcing are currently looking to recruit a Purchasing Officer / Buyer to work within a large Defence organisation based in Stevenage.
*Please note that this role will require a Security Clearance level and so candidates must be security clearable*
This fantastic opportunity will involve you purchasing Mechanical & Electrical components, whilst ensuring the most cost effective solution for the business.
What we’re looking for in you:
• Ideally you have previous experience of purchasing within a large organisation
• A working knowledge of SAP is preferable
• A fantastic communicator with the ability to liaise with both internal & external customers
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• Confident using Excel
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Processing manual and electronic requisitions
• Using SAP in order to raising RFQ’s ( Request for Quotations)
• Raising purchase orders
• Progressing orders to ensure that internal customers receive their delivery on time
• Resolving invoice queries
• Assisting in the quality assessment of suppliers
