Workshop Mechanical Technicians required! (111) County Durham, England

RMS – Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting Workshop Mechanical Technicians on behalf of our client, a globally recognised manufacturer of outdoor power products in the County Durham Area.

You will be Workshop based however a small amount of travel is required from time to time. The Workshop Mechanical Technicians duties will include the repair and maintenance of a range of equipment used in the ground care industry and associated equipment.

Day to Day duties will include, but are not limited to: 

 

Supporting the After Sales Manager and the After Sales Team in all aspects of After Sales support for the UK

Providing technical support on the Help Desk for the company dealers.

Answering end consumer questions via E Mail

Evaluating and repairing machines returned to the workshop

Reworking bonded products when required

Develop technical support systems for product training

Communicate to the Sales Teams or categories regarding any technical issues and status

Auto mower installations and technical support 

To be considered for this position you must  have at least 5 years’ experience in the industry and be fully competent in the repair/servicing of all types of lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws and all other 2 stroke/ 4 stroke engines and be experienced in:

Writing comprehensive reports

Being able to clearly explain technical issues to clients

Excellent communication and organisational skills, good grammar and be PC literate, Microsoft Office applications

A clean, current driving license is required

Preferably, you will be qualified to “GCSE” / A level or above in Maths / Physics or other Engineering discipline (Other suitable background or qualifications could be considered)
