Production Team Leaders

Production Team Leaders (team) Newton Aycliffe, England

Salary: GBP18000 - GBP25000 per annum + 35% Continental Shift Allowance

RMS Recruitment are hiring a Team Leader who will be working for one of our Clients who supply thin film pressure transducers to agricultural, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors.

You will be based in Newton Aycliffe on a 38.5 hours per week (average with 12-hour shifts) Salary: 18k per annum (plus 35% Continental Shift Allowance)

 

 

As the Team Leader you will be working as part of a team of four Team Leaders working on a rotating shift pattern covering 24/7 working.  You will be responsible for approximately 15 Production Operators, ensuring Production targets are met in all areas in accordance with business objectives and strategic plans.

 

 

Main duties and Responsibilities:

 

To lead your team to ensure all Production targets and quality standards are met across all processes whilst ensuring H&S guidelines are followed.

To liaise with Production control to ensure a smooth workflow is achieved utilising Operators and equipment effectively to ensure the correct orders are shipped and on time, achieving Shift KPI’s.

To collate and report daily output figures.

Accurately complete all required shift documentation for compliance against IATF/ISO and site-specific quality standards.

To release, track and close work orders.

People Management responsibilities, including ensuring the Production Operation is covered during holidays and periods of absence.

Ensure regular communication/briefing to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their shift to maximum effect.

Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and encourage progress of individual team members through performance reviews.

Manage, resolve and escalate day to day issues with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and team members.

Responsible for stock and scrap control, ensuring targets are met.

Contribute to the planning, organisation, operation and installation of all new processes and equipment within the factory.
