Current standard Working Hours Monday to Thursday 8:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 15:30

 

The Quality Engineer will be educated to HNC Minimum in engineering discipline , experienced in the Automotive industry and hold a Full driving licence as travel both national and international will be included in this post. Relevant IQA qualifications, PPAP, MSA, APQP, R&R knowledge, experienced with problem solving techniques (Fishbone, 5 Why, 8d ) and have an excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be confident, customer focused and a team player, with excellent presentation skills

 

                                                  

 

Main Duties to include:

  • Responsible for all Quality aspects of their allocated products / processes, which includes measuring equipment, Production quality documentation, SPC, New product introduction, Concern resolution.
  • Gauge concept and development pre- and post-production
  • Concern investigation and co-ordination of improvement action plans for pre-production parts
  • Quality expertise input to multi-disciplined improvement team activities across the Nifco Group
  • Introduce and facilitate quality initiatives
  • Use statistical analysis tools to develop new products / processes in conjunction with the project engineers
  • Agree / negotiate the quality control requirements with the customer prior to and during the introduction of a new product
  • Agree gauge modifications and improvements
  • Verify that system audit actions have been implemented
  • PSW submission
  • Control plan Creation / Update
  • PFMEA Contribution
  • ISIR/PPAP submission
  • Process capability studies
  • Gauge R&R studies
  • Oversee gauge design, manufacture and validation
  • Identification of SC’s and CC’s
  • Product/process audits
  • Negotiate with customer re incurred PPM and Concern incidents
  • Compile and populate KPI charts
  • Devise and implement containment activities at Nifco and customer in the event of a non-conforming product being reported
  • To carry out any other relevant duties as required by the business
