Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer (J1150) Stockton-on-Tees, England

RMS Recruitment have a great permanent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in Stockton, providing  mechanical engineering support to the (O&M).This support will included integrity management associated with pressure equipment, rotating equipment, storage tanks, load bearing structures, turbines (steam and gas), etc., and the continuous operation of this equipment.

 

Our Client operates on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis, across a diverse range of low and high hazard industries including power, gas, fuel storage & also in energy trading. Providing operations, maintenance and management services and solutions throughout the UK ,Middle East, Europe and South America.

 

You will be experienced  in the process or power generation environment, working cross functionally & with contractors, and deliver policies & initiatives always ensuring compliance with company & legislative requirements are adhered to .

You will have knowledge & application of SHE systems, ensuring compliance, risk areas & improvement and application of quality systems, ensuring compliance, risk areas & improvement. And fully conversant with all legislation pertinent to mechanical systems.

Day to Day duties will include, but are not limited to: 

Supporting the clients  aims to delivers safe and reliable plant operations whilst maintaining compliance with legislation and adopting good (and compliant) engineering practices at all times.

Champion and support professional engineering standards and practices across all site operations, promoting  internal and external good/best practices.

Contribute, as required, to the corporate processes which aim to deliver continuous improvement of SHE, Engineering, and Maintenance standards throughout px operations.

 

On occasions, you will be required to lead and manage assigned personnel consistent with delivering the above activities.

 

To be considered this position you must have an HNC/HND in mechanical engineering discipline along with:

Relevant experience in a position of responsibility.

Successful contribution & work experience in an engineering or maintenance environment. To include experience of:

Maintenance & contract management.

Outage management.

PSSR’s, legislative, best practice standards & insurance compliance.

Relevant experience in the process or power generation environment.

Working cross functionally & with contractors, to deliver policies & initiatives, ensuring compliance with company & legislative requirements.

Knowledge & application of quality systems, ensuring compliance, risk areas & improvement.

Fully conversant with all legislation pertinent to mechanical systems.

Applicable standards associated with mechanical systems.

Have attended HAZOP’s and LOPA’s
