Enterprise Architect – Microsoft/Cloud/Transformation - Birmingham City Centre

Enterprise Architect required for an organisation based in Birmingham who are currently going through a major transformation which includes migrating systems to the Cloud/Azure. You will be accountable for delivering value to the organisation and be the responsible for establishing best practices and principles around methodologies, associated principles and KPI’s.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talent IT architect who is looking to step up into a challenging Enterprise Architect position.

Key Requirements of the role:

• Ensure that the business strategy is translated into appropriate Enterprise Architect (EA) artefacts and that future technology solutions adhere to approved architectural principles
• Proactively collaborate on strategic thinking and vision, translating when required, these into defined architectural models
• Continuously improve and run the Enterprise Architecture (EA) governance processes and ensure alignment with the strategic vision;
• Develop Enterprise Architecture views - with a focus on how they relate to business challenges;
• Develop strategic architecture roadmaps, gaining understanding, buy-in and driving alignment with Programme roadmaps
• Aligned with approved collateral e.g. designs, providing technical oversight on in-flight projects and programmes, adhering to relevant governance processes and chairing technical design authority;
• Growing and managing the Architecture knowledge base through the development of data models, standards, and the design and implementation of processes and tools that drive consistent, value-adding use of the architectures; and ensure that outputs are consumable, usable and applicable;

Key Skills of the role:

• Practical experience in developing, applying and driving value from the use of architecture principles;
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Strategic thinker and problem solver, a confident decision maker, comfortable with accountability at a senior level
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills, able to affect change across senior stakeholders;
• Able to plan complex interventions and project work over a significant period of time into the future and possess the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively

Salary

The salary for this position is between £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including flexible working and pension.
