IT Project Manager – SDLC/Business Change – Oldbury

 

IT Project Manager required for an international organisation based in Oldbury, Birmingham, where you will be a key member of the Programme and Project Management team, specialising in the project management and implementation of operational mobilisation and business change projects. Your role will be focussed around initiating, planning, mobilising and delivering application change and IT contract mobilisations.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative and proactive Project Manager, who is looking to further their career in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Planning, coordinating, managing and documenting your projects to the successful delivery and satisfaction of your stakeholders and the PMO
  • Governing, reporting and identifying risks associated with their projects and working with the Head of Programmes and Projects and wider Technology team to ensure the overall success and satisfaction of our technology services
  • Delivering on any projects assigned to you according to agreed timescale and budget
  • Managing delivery teams consisting of Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Testers, Trainers and any 3rd Parties
  • When required, be hands-on in order to complete project deliverables

Key Skills of the role:

  • Desirable to have experience of implementing IT software and IT Contract Mobilisations within the Facilities Management sector
  • Strong experience managing every phase within the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Project Management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects preferably within a multi-project programme
  • Able to demonstrate basic understanding of the deployed technologies across the enterprise and of multiple system platforms
  • A naturally positive attitude and an inclusive approach to building partnerships, well organised and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution, the ability to run a project or serve as project manager on a program team and can ensure a successful project lifecycle
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required along with the ability to tailor communication style to both technical and non-technical audiences and an ability to work well with internal and external clients

Salary

The salary for this position is up to £55,000, depending on experience, plus benefits including car allowance.
