Overall purpose of role

To lead the HR team supporting the Offshore business, providing the highest level of business partnering support, utilising expertise within the wider HR function and enabling the business to achieve its strategic priorities.

  • Acting as a strategic enabler by working with the business to plan the people agenda and offer creative solutions and interventions

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic support and advice to the Offshore leadership teams on all HR issues over the short, medium and long term
    • Primary interface between Offshore Business Heads and HR Centres of Excellence
    • Accountability for the colleague agenda on all centrally driven programmes/projects
  • Platform HRBP responsibility for Isle of Man, providing local expertise and guidance to functional HRBPs, HR interface with local government agencies and supports a platform wide colleague agenda
    • To work with the HRA for the business area, and provide support and coaching as required

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • To act as a trusted deliverer to all managers within their assigned business unit
  • To support line managers in the delivery of key business deliverables/requirements from a people perspective
  • Collaborate with the HR specialist teams to ensure consistency and quality of delivery

Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • To work in a structured, organised and disciplined way to ensure high levels of service delivery
  • Deliver key projects and co-ordinate all HR cyclical activity
  • To implement practical process improvement for BAU and all people initiatives
  • Management of defined service standards to ensure timely execution of HR services
  • Analyse and report on MI data to leadership team in order to gain a deeper understanding of people issues within the business function, and recommend suitable intervention activities
    • To communicate and present the results of all processes and BAU activity to ensure that they can be understood and evaluated

Risk and Control Objective

Apply the highest standards of controls and risk management practices and behaviours and embed a positive risk and control culture.

Demonstrate prudence, sound judgement and appropriate and timely escalations in the management of all types of risk applicable to the role.

Person Specification

  • Experience and practical working knowledge of all aspects of HR including ER, Resourcing, Talent Management and Reward
    • Demonstrable experience of delivering of robust, commercial HR solutions across a large complex environment/business
    • Experience of managing end to end processes and the provision of high quality service delivery
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
    • Able to effectively manage a high volume workload.
