**Procurement / Purchasing Specialist/ Senior Buyer (Construction)– 12 Month Contract - Competitive Rate – Defence Organisation – Stevenage**
Our client is a leading Defence Organisation based in Stevenage who are looking for an interim Procurement Specialist (Construction/JCT) to join their team on a 12 months contract.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Management Category Manager in JCT contract negotiation, drafting and administration for building works for the site. You will be required to keep up to date with the latest developments/improvements in the marketplace and research and recommend improved models within the category. Also will be required to attend regular supplier review meetings to ensure they are delivering to contract SLAs. Travel within the UK may be required, to work closely with our UK stakeholders and suppliers
Ideal experience required for this role:
Previous Senior Buyer/ Procurement/ Purchasing management experience
Must have extensive JCT contracts knowledge and experience – ability to draft JCT contracts
Ideally have experience working in environments such as; Defence, Engineering, Construction or Aerospace.
Good understanding of purchasing demonstrating analytical and synthetic skills
Ideally have a proven track record in delivering cost savings and service enhancements through established procurement best practice and implementation of the tender process
Previous category strategy definition and implementation exposure
Exceptional Stakeholder and Supplier management
Excellent experience of drafting contract agreements and previous negotiation skills
Contract management/ terms and conditions/ legal awareness
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with personnel/ clientele/ suppliers at all levels
Strong IT systems knowledge and experience
