**HR Advisor – 6 months contract - £21.10 Ltd/ £15.82 Paye – Defence Organisation – Preston**
Our client is a Government organisation based in Preston who are looking for a HR Advisor to join their team on a 6 month contract.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Associate is responsible for managing a wide range and a high volume of Employee Relations cases across all in scope businesses. This role provides advice, coaching, guidance & support to Line Managers & other stakeholders engaged in managing Employee Relations cases. This role is generally the first point of contact for managers and employees for support and advice on matters relating to Employee Relations, which will often be of a complex or sensitive nature. They will promote a positive Employee Relations culture within the business whilst managing risk and meeting business requirements. They will be responsible for managing their own case load & prioritising across a broad scope of issues.
• Provide coaching, advice and support to Line Managers in Employee Relations cases across all in scope UK businesses.
• Work in partnership with other members of the UK Case Coaching Team, and others to deliver a timely, accurate and effective Case Coaching service.
• Support other team members to ensure we are providing a collaborative, joined up service.
• Through coaching and support assist line managers, employees and representatives to resolve cases.
• Provide balanced advice that is legally compliant and in line with company policy to managers and employees in order to manage risk.
• Support and manage cases in an accurate, timely fashion ensuring all cases are updated regularly (on the appropriate technology solution)

Ideal Experience for this role
• Ideally have broad generalist HR/ER knowledge
• CIPD qualification is advantageous but not essential
• Experience in dealing with a variety of HR cases, understanding of legal implications
• A good working knowledge of the Employee Relations environment and framework
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Experience of communicating with senior stakeholder
• Ability to apply judgement and identify appropriate solutions
