Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge of a wide range of health and safety legislation and their associated guidance documents).
Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation (Environmental Permitting Regulations, Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005) and supporting guidance documents.
Thorough knowledge of the fire hazards on the UUK Nuclear Licensed site.
Thorough knowledge of the various forms of personal protective equipment and monitoring equipment available on the market.
Investigative and negotiating skills – persuading and influencing others.
Excellent written skills for preparing risk assessments, reports, instructions, meeting minutes.
The ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms.
Ability to develop and deliver an effective training package.
Ability to work on own initiative and programme own work.
Good planning, coordinating and interpersonal skills.
Customer liaison skills to understand requirements and provide solutions.
Strong communication skills for dealing with external and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent expereince
