Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor (133247DHU) St. Helens, England

Summary:

Responsible for the smooth running of the warehouse and shipping function to maximise sales from the UK operation in order to meet monthly sales targets.

The jobholder will ensure timely and efficient operation of the Shipping and Warehouse departments covering materials held both on and off-site. Through effective use of SAP the jobholder ensures the maintenance of comprehensive and accurate inventory records measured to defined targets.

Responsibilities:

Lead, direct and supervise shipping and warehouse, material planning teams

Proactively seek opportunities to minimise inventory without impact to customer delivery or satisfaction

Manage stock levels, BOM’s, supplier lead times and SAP systems

Ensure all schedules and deadlines are adhered to.

Communicate & implement change as required.

Compliance with all company policies, and Health & Safety regulations/legislation.

Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results.

Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.

Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.

Liaise with drivers, customers and Unifrax personnel.

Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.

Ensure that all resources are utilised efficiently.

Coordinate efficient operation of the warehouse.

Overall responsibility to ensure deliveries with carriers are in line with customer needs and KPIs are achieved.

Responsibility for:

Stock levels in both on-site and off-site locations

Stock system experience – WMS

Stores and factory stock locations in line with 5S requirements

 

Essential Job Duties and KPIs:

Ensure all customer orders are dispatched on time and in full

Ensure availability of all required materials in line with business needs

Accuracy of inventory levels
