Financial Reporting Systems Analyst – Hyperion Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Financial Reporting Systems Analyst for an opportunity in Sunrise, FL. The Financial Reporting Systems Analyst will support accounting and finance in the use of the accounting reporting systems, specifically Oracle Cloud Reporting/Hyperion. This includes development of reports, maintaining report distributions using batch scheduling functionality, training, and recommendations to improve performance. He or she will act as the principal liaison between Accounting, Finance, IT and other Hyperion stakeholders. The organization will rely on this position as the primary source of in-house Hyperion expertise. Successful candidates with a blend of Hyperion/Oracle EBS experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and support the implementation of reports for the accounting department utilizing Oracle Cloud Reporting, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Smartview. This will require a strong understanding of both accounting requirements and Hyperion to deliver on these requests
• Maintain the report bursting process, utilizing books, batches and batch scheduler
• Support and train end users to enhance and build their Hyperion knowledge
• Investigate and troubleshoot errors in reporting, data loading and end user processes
• Manage data governance and metadata changes in Hyperion
• Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that reports are consistent with defined needs as well as maintain controlled processes around loading and validation of data
• Determine which dimensions, measures, and details should be used when creating reports along with how to structure the information
• Assist the system administrator with troubleshooting the system as well as solving process breakdowns
• Participate, lead and coordinate end user training as well as provide technical support to end users
• Recommend and implement process improvements in areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 5 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expert knowledge in Hyperion Smartview and financial reporting studio
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Reporting is a plus
• Ability to effectively prioritize work within a fast-paced environment, under pressure and within strict deadlines
• Display excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of financial and accounting principles and concepts
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Commitment to work in collaborative teamwork approach
• Superior “hands-on” problem solving skills are essential
• Very high level of work ethic and attention to detail
