My client, a leading global healthcare products company, is seeking a Scientist (Chemist) to be a functional member in Research and Development. This contract to hire position is for 1 year with a rate range of $20-30 an hour.
My client is leading in the Medical Device field, as well as Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies. My client is also known for their innovative medical solutions. As a global leader, they manufacture, distribute and service a wide range of industry-leading product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a laboratory notebook and complete documentation accurately according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Proficient in the use of analytical instrumentation, skills in several of the following techniques are desired: HPLC, UV-Vis, GC, MS, Dissolution Testing, Particle Size analysis, FT-IR
- Prepare, maintain, and review thorough records, and documentation on solutions, sample preparation and experiments.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs of laboratory equipment and maintain log book
- Ensure laboratory and work areas conform to cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in site transfer and validation of existing analytical methods
- Assist in improving lot release methods for transfer to manufacturing
- Perform analytical tests that include stability, lot release, method validation, and special studies
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Chemistry or related field with 1-2 years experience in analytical testing laboratory
- Associates degree with 4 years of hands on laboratory experience
- HS degree with 6 years of hands on Pharmaceutical laboratory experience
- Lab maintenance and product testing from conception through commercial launch
- Contribute to writing test protocols and reports
- Computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations
- Perform job functions in accordance with applicable cGMP, USP, and ISO regulations
