Position Overview
Reporting to the Topside & Subsea Lead Engineers, the Senior Project Engineer will be part of a team tasked with the delivery of selected projects through all project stages (Appraise to Execute) on behalf of the asset. This role will be tasked with delivery of packages of work through the life cycle of the project(s) that may include engineering studies, ‘package management’ of critical engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction scopes. The role will be expected to apply common tools and techniques across project Facilities scopes (topside and subsea).

Accountabilities
Delivery of engineering studies and package management of discrete scopes associated with critical engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction elements of work.

Key Duties
Work in compliance with the Project Delivery System (PDS), the Project Management System Framework (PMSF) and specific Project Execution Plans (PEPs).
Maintain high standards of HSE performance, within area of responsibility and influence.
Ensure robust, timely and cost efficient delivery of packages of work.
Identify, manage and maintain visibility of risks and opportunities relevant to area of responsibility. Develop and communicate mitigation and contingency plans as appropriate.
Collaborate effectively with others and maintain diligent focus on interface management.
Support the planning function by providing timely and accurate reports of progress against plan. Challenge and critique the plan and provide suggestions for improvement and development.
Maintain formal records relating to actions, decisions, technical queries, concession requests, interfaces, change management and variation control.
Challenge norms, seek efficiencies in processes and procedures, and incorporate lean and smart methods of scope delivery.
Support technical evaluation of bids, enquiries, proposals and potential solutions, as appropriate.
Support delivery of ‘Permits and Consents’ for selected projects.


Education Attainment & Accreditation
Qualified at degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline

Professional Skills & Experience
Technical understanding of regulations, codes, standards, guidelines and good practice for the UKCS oil and gas industry.
Significant engineering and technical experience gained in an oil and gas engineering and project delivery environment ideally with both operator and contractor experience
Sound appreciation of industry technology trends, developments and challenges
