Responsibilities:
•Develop and deliver presentations to new business targets to generate interest and commitments in working with the company.
•Identify, evaluate and prioritize new markets and ventures for revenue and enrollment growth. Conduct financial and market analysis to make recommendations on potential ventures.
•Responsible for activity related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, business expansion and new management services agreements including surfacing potential opportunities, evaluating the opportunity, developing the business terms and transaction structure, negotiating the agreement(s) and securing necessary company approvals.
•Perform strategic and quantitative analysis to determine appropriate valuations and structures of potential ventures.
•Coordinate due diligence efforts and compile results.
•Organize and manage project plans and transition plans related to new ventures. Coordinate implementation of transactions with company business units, including identification of steps required to achieve expected earnings flow.

Develop new programs and services in collaboration with the operations and medical management teams. Build client relationships to stimulate business growth.

•Oversee and direct sales and marketing functions to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, service mix, and timelines. Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales
•Conduct contract negotiations with potential prospects, vendors and payors
•Builds a highly energetic sales team and models, co-ordinates and presents the customer with a finalized collaborative proposal with solutions, justifications, and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin.
•Maintain current knowledge with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
•Gather intelligence on competitors, health plans, etc. Develop tracking database and produce management reports containing this information as requested.
•Participate as an integral team member in the development and implementation of both short and long range strategic and business plans.

Requirements:

Masters degree (MA) or equivalent; or ten or more years’ related experience in business development role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably some M&A or transactions background in the healthcare industry.

•10 years plus of business development experience. Marketing and sales experience helpful.
•Must be able to conceptualize products and services that wrap around the potential customer.
•Thorough understanding of financial reports and able to develop financial analysis, proformas, ROI, transaction and business structures.
•Strong analytical and negotiating skills.
•Creative problem solver
•Understanding of healthcare industry from provider, health plan or hospital perspective, including relevant economic, regulatory, market, legislative, reimbursement and societal issues.
•Experience developing and presenting proposals.
•The ability to present highly complex technical and business concepts to all levels of an organization and to persuade others to achieve desired outcomes.
•Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
