Buyer – Non-Production Purchasing - Automotive OEM
I am actively recruiting to a Buyer vacancy with a prestigious Car Manufacturer based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is an exciting new opportunity to work for one of the worlds leading Automotive OEM’s on a long term rolling contract basis, with hourly rates available up to £30.00LTD per hour for the right candidate.
Position Description:
The buyer will have full responsibility for category sourcing and delivery of services for packaging the businesses Non Production Purchasing area. The buyer will continue to develop commodity strategy, leading a number of key suppliers and customer’s relationships as well as supporting the operational activities required.
Experience Required:
Strong background within a Purchasing environment, ideally within the Automotive/Manufacturing industries
Capable of delivering a number of sourcing projects simultaneously, effectively managing stakeholders requirements
Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Excel
Highly organised and continually focussed on attention to detail is essential
Ability to lead and drive a complex set of priorities/projects with minimal management supervision
Excellent supplier relationship management and cross functional leadership skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels both internally and externally
An ability to develop supplier relationship dynamics to react to changing market dynamics in the buyer / supplier relationships
Candidates will ideally be CIPS certified however this is not essential if suitable experience can be demonstrated
