I am actively recruiting to a HMI Development Engineer vacancy with a prestigious Car Manufacturer based in Gaydon Warwickshire.
This opportunity is part of our clients HMI Subteam within Electrical Engineering and is offered on a long term rolling contract basis, with hourly rates available up to £27.00LTD for the right candidate.
Position Description:
The position is an a development test engineer working within the HMI subteam of the UCIC group in Electrical. The candidate will be required to work in the development and test of the HMI business logic and graphics for the Instrument Cluster and HUD components.
Skills Required:
1. A good ability to interpret functional requirements and apply an End User / Common Sense approach
2. An ability to work with other members of the Driver Information and Feature owner teams to determine the HMI requirements for the instrument cluster and progress these through to an implemented solution
3. A background in software development in various toolchains/languages with a bias towards user interface development
Experience Required:
1. Previous experience of working with high level HMI systems
2. Automotive product development experience in Electrical Engineering
3. Experience in the use of code generation tools within Matlab/Simulink
4. Experience of component testing methods, including issue tracking and testcase development
