Control Systems Development Engineer
I am actively recruiting to a Control Systems Development Engineer vacancy with a prestigious Car Manufacturers Powertrain division based in Coventry, West Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the worlds leading Automotive OEMS, with hourly rates available up to £28.00LTD for the right candidate.
Position Description:
The role involves the specification, design, development and calibration of control systems within a research environment with extensive use of RCP systems. Candidates will ideally have prior experience in engine and powertrain control system development. The role will include the following on a daily basis:
Problem analysis and researching to find solutions
Development of software functions based on defined functional requirements and problem definitions
Rig and vehicle testing for software validation and calibration
Technical and commercial management of projects whilst interfacing with many stakeholders
Supervising and supporting junior team members to deliver the PT systems research plan
Experience Required:
Model based control system development in Matlab Simulink
MATLAB / Simulink / State flow for embedded control system design using auto code tools
Good understanding of modern powertrain mechanical systems
Definition and documentation of automotive control system functional requirements
Understanding of requirements definition and documentation
Experience of using INCA as a calibration tool
Control system development and testing using rigs, testbenches and vehicles
