teachFE is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Lincolnshire area and is looking for an Exams Assistant to work for 18.5 hours per week. This role is an immediate start.

The suitable candidate will assist the Examinations Officer in ensuring that all aspects of examinations administration are conducted effectively and efficiently. To act as deputy for the Examinations Officer as and when required. Some of the key tasks that will be required from the candidate have been listed below:

• To ensure awarding body and College guidelines and procedures relating to exams are complied with and provide guidance to lecturers and students.
• To deputise for Examinations Officer on all matters relating to examinations.
• To liaise with managers, course leaders and subject lecturers to confirm the qualifications for each group of students.
• To ensure examination entries are received within set deadlines and are accurately processed and submitted to awarding bodies before their deadlines.
• To maintain examinations records in the College Information System (CIS).
• To act as lead examinations invigilator, giving instructions to large groups of candidates prior to exams commencing.
• To arrange invigilation and provide support to ensure awarding body and College guidelines and procedures are complied with.
• To produce seating plans for examinations.
• To check evidence of special exam arrangements and maintain a record.
• To liaise with the Additional Learner Support Team in ensuring eligible students receive special exam arrangements.
• To work with lecturers, students and awarding bodies to resolve examination issues, as requested by the Examinations Officer.
• On a timely basis, to update results in CIS and distribute results and certificates to students and lecturers.
• To monitor outstanding results in ProAchieve.
