The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, punctual and flexible in their hours. You will also be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently for long periods of time. You will be required to have your own transportation due to the location and schedule. Minimum 1 year warehousing experience would be an asset.
Job Description
As a Warehouse Dock Assistant (also called "swamper" or "lumper") you are assigned to a warehouse to unload and palletize product from our client’s trucks. This job can be labour intensive depending on the weight of the product on the pallets and therefore requires individuals that can work hard for extended periods of time.
Because of the late start time, our warehouse is not bus accessible and therefore you are required to have a vehicle.
This job is a Temp- to- Perm contract work for 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for timely and efficient unloading and palletisation of incoming product - the receiver at the warehouse will offload the product from the truck and you are responsible for palletizing and organizing the product.
Requirements
All that is required is a clear criminal record check, steel toed boots and minimum 6 months warehousing experience. There are no other requirements for this job other than enthusiastic and friendly candidates that are willing to make a few extra dollars for an honest night's work!
This is a contract job with the potential to go Full-Time.
