Job Description

We are searching for a Dispatcher with experience in Transportation to join our Warehousing client in West Edmonton. The shifts will be 12 hours long with a rotating schedule of 7 days on (7am-7pm), 7 days off , and 7 overnights on (7pm-7am).

You will be responsible for things such as:

• Schedule equipment and drivers according to customer requests
• Utilize Axon to enter requests, generate reports, etc.
• Possess working knowledge of products, sites, and regulations including: permits, weights, dimensions, road bans etc.
• Record daily attendance and ensure that all trip report paperwork is completed accurately and on time for driver pay calculations and finalization as required
• Coordinate with shop personnel regarding repairs, inspections, and regular maintenance POD Trip reports
• Perform random equipment checks
• Coordinate utilization of resources between terminals
• Ensure driver’s training and safety certificates are adequate and up to date
• Participate in all safety related, compliance, and regulatory programs and education

This position is a 4-8 week contract with the potential to go full time.

We will be looking for someone with:

• Minimum High School or GED
• Post-Secondary Education in Business or Supply Chain would be an asset
• 2 to 5 years of directly related experience in the transportation industry
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products including Excel

Experience with Axon, Shaw Tracking and E-Logs will be considered an asset
