Weatherford Canada is currently seeking a Warehouse / Chemical Blender Operator for our Engineered Chemistry division in Edmonton, AB.

DUTIES

  •     Understand the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work instructions
  •     Keep warehouse and product storage areas in order
  •     Store unused raw materials in proper containers and areas when process’ are complete
  •     Assist in unloading incoming deliveries per quality work instructions
  •     Report shortages and damaged material per quality work instructions
  •     Assist in stenciling, labeling, palletizing and shrink wrapping/banding of materials for shipment
  •     Assist in loading products for shipment
  •     Use small tool and operate handling equipment
  •     Properly operate auxiliary equipment
  •     Bulk filling of trucks
  •     Will be required to use a respirator
  •     Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  •     Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor


   
SKILLS

  •     1-2 years of directly related experience
  •     Mechanically inclined is an asset
  •     Forklift Certification an asset
  •     Able to meet physical demands of the role; lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and on feet for long hours
  •     Ability to calculate basic math
  •     Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  •     Familiarity of TDG & WHMIS an asset
  •     Ability to read and comprehend simple, instructions, short correspondence and memorandums
  •     Ability to follow oral instructions
  •     Basic computer skills; experience with JDE an asset
  •     Safety oriented
  •     Ability to work closely with fellow employees

    This position is considered a safety sensitive position and qualified candidates will be required to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Testing. In addition, due to the nature of working with chemicals, qualified candidates will be required to pass a Pulmonary Function Test and be fit with a respirator
